Nikon D70 camera body and Subal D70 housing only (i.e. without a port) with GS viewfinder in very good condition. It was purchased from Ocean Optics in London in 2005 and has had one owner (me!) and has performed flawlessly. It has never had a leak and it has been well looked after during several overseas trips. The image through the GS viewfinder has to be seen to believed. It is large and bright, making composition and focus so much easier on the eye.

The Nikon D70 camera has the latest firmware Version 2.0 and is physically in good shape. The only slight fault is the LCD screen has 2 segments which have gone slightly feinter on the right hand number of the frame counter. It obviously doesn't affect the camera's performance and the full figure can be seen in the viewfinder.

The Subal D70 design is one of the smallest for the Nikon D70 and has a single QuickLok closing lever. The twin Nikonos flash sockets were factory fitted and can be used with manual flashguns or in TTL with housed Nikon TTL flashguns. The leak detector has a new battery. An extra flash shoe has been fitted to right handle by me as the original design only has one shoe. As a result you can mount two flashguns for better lighting.

This is a good value opportunity to get into the quality of DSLR photography underwater at a fraction of the cost of a new Nikon DSLR like the D40/80 and Subal housing (a Subal D80 housing new is £2700 alone)
